About the role
You'll build the AI features that power Gamma's content creation experience. This means designing and implementing full-stack features using LLMs and image generation models, building AI workflows that feel magical to users, and optimizing how we integrate cutting-edge models into our product.
You'll work across the entire stack, from prompt engineering to frontend integration, shaping how millions of users interact with AI to create presentations, documents, and websites. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to turn AI capabilities into intuitive, delightful user experiences.
Our team has a strong in-office culture and works in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.
What you'll do
- Design and implement full-stack features using LLMs and image generation models
- Build, optimize, and evaluate AI workflows using our in-house JSX-based prompting framework
- Ship features that integrate cutting-edge AI models into intuitive user experiences
- Experiment with new AI capabilities and model providers to improve content generation quality
- Collaborate with product and design to translate AI possibilities into polished features
- Optimize AI performance, cost, and reliability across millions of user requests
What you'll bring
- 3+ years building production web applications with strong full-stack fundamentals
- Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI/ML systems in production
- Familiarity with frontend engineering and state management, data models, and API design
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js (or strong fundamentals in similar technologies)
- Passion for AI and eagerness to experiment with new models and capabilities
- Strong product sense and ability to translate technical AI capabilities into user value
- Curiosity and attitude that matches your technical knowledge
Compensation range:
$180K - $275K, plus competitive equity.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to experience and expertise in the requirements listed above.
