About the role
We're looking for a talented web developer, strong in both engineering AND design, to own the development of our high-traffic marketing site with over 75 million visitors globally each year.
The ideal candidate is comfortable with end-to-end website builds—from user research to wireframing to development to launch and optimization. It's an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on a high degree of ownership, is passionate about building for user needs, and has a high bar for visual design.
What you'll do:
Lead development and maintenance of our high-traffic, multilingual marketing website across the entire stack (from Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, NextJS, React, Typescript)
Build out our marketing site with additional landing pages, product pages, microsites, and lead magnets for both consumer and business audiences
Optimize site performance, page speed, and SEO across all properties
Improve and maintain localization infrastructure to support our global audience
Implement A/B tests to improve user experience and conversion rates
Ensure consistent brand experience across all Gamma digital properties (marketing site, help center, third-party tools)
Create and optimize HTML email campaigns that align with our brand standard
Collaborate with engineers from the Core and Growth teams on cross-functional projects
Collaborate with design and marketing teams to bring creative concepts to life with beautiful execution
Collaborate with content strategists and designers to define and iterate on a smooth content publishing pipeline
Our ideal candidate has:
5+ years experience as a frontend engineer
A portfolio of web development and design output you can showcase
Strong problem solving and debugging skills. You know your way around Chrome dev tools.
Strong TypeScript expertise, with experience in modern frameworks (React, NextJS, static site generation)
Exceptionally strong craftspersonship and meticulous attention to detail (you know your Oxford commas, and the difference between Sentence case and Title Case). You sweat the small stuff and can carry out a designer's version and communicate tradeoffs.
You have a strong understanding of visual design fundamentals, including typography, composition, layout, and hierarchy
Experience with content modeling and defining information architecture
Experience working with headless CMS platforms like Contentful
Experience with localization tooling and working with multilingual websites - you're familiar with all sorts of localization gotchas, including varying string lengths, right-to-left patterns
Experience with HTML emails and its many gotchas
Experience optimizing websites for performance, SEO, and fast page loading times
Experience with accessibility standards and implementation
Bonus points for:
Strong background in graphic design
Experience with motion/framer JS and interest in browser animations
Prior work on high-traffic websites with global audiences
Experience working with Cloudflare workers

Compensation & benefits:
The base annual salary range for this role is $170-$230k.

While this role is focused on web presence, you may have to go into the main frontend application to work on surface areas like Signin/Signup, Pricing, and so on. Fortunately, we're building a full Typescript stack centered around some of the most modern and popular technologies:
