🏂 Salt Lake City native, but I've spent the last 10 years in the Bay Area.
Music producing noob, digital art enthusiast, senior cat lover, video game enjoyer & bio nerd. 🧑‍🎨🐈
I spend most of my time snowboarding, cycling through new hobbies or surfing wikipedia for food facts.

🥊 My latest hobbies involve projection mapping, ceramics, and boxing.
Why I work at Gamma
The team here is freaking smart, talented and so warm and welcoming. I'm learning something new every day. It's exciting to work on an incredible product tackling a frothy, nebulous problem.

I also love how encouraging and supportive the team in, so I can live the fast-pace, experimental process of my dreams tackling design & code.
Max Blaha
Growth Product Manager
LA native that has been in SF for the last 10 years. Still a huge Dodger fan but very lucky to get to enjoy the outdoors across all seasons living in the beautiful Bay Area. Love to camp in the warmer months and currently transitioning from snowboarding to skiing. At work, you’ll usually find me hunkered down in a corner jamming to a house mix.
Why I work at Gamma
The people are amazing. From day 1, I knew this would be a great fit and I have not looked back since. It’s also such a relief getting to work on a fantastic product that I use daily - even outside of work!
As an even bigger plus, the dog game here is on another level. All the pups are so cute and add to the excitement of coming in each day.

Why I work at Gamma
🦄 As a musician, performer, and public speaker, I know that communicating ideas in a way that resonates with the audience is key to bringing them along on your storytelling journey. If the medium is boring, unrelatable, or inauthentic, an otherwise strong message won't be received well. At Gamma, we are giving the world a medium through which they can express their own creative ideas.
🌈 Creative and non-traditional ideas are my jam, and I love that every day at Gamma, I'm able to work with incredibly talented colleagues who are as passionate about effortless content creation as I am. I'm equally privileged to connect with the fabulous folks in our Gamma community as part of my role.💜
Eric Pollmann
Engineer
Hardcore geeking since the 1980s 🤖💻, I love building, exploring, working hard with the team 🛠️🗺️👷! Proud dad raising two amazing girls with my amazing wife 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧. Avid runner 🏃!
Why I work at Gamma
As a kid who loved sci-fi and writing, one of my first programs tried to teach my computer to write: subject-verb-adverb! I wrestled with that program fruitlessly for weeks, trying to get a coherent paragraph, let alone a story. My geeky inner child is jumping with joy, now helping bring effortless self-expression to the world!
I'm so lucky to have met a crew of like minds here at Gamma! Every day we work at intersection of joy, exploration, excellence, fun, commitment and balance. Our small family is tight knit and growing to take on the audacious challenges in front of us. I can't imagine anywhere else I'd rather be!
Sean Oliver
Engineer
Originally from small-town PA, I'm still pinching myself that I've been able to call beautiful San Francisco home for over a decade. I married my college sweetheart, and now I'm the father of two amazing kids and a pint-sized poodle. I am a hardcore Peleton enthusiast, and I write a newsletter about my career transition from marketing to engineering.
Why I work at Gamma
Being at Gamma kindles my geeky lifelong obsession with productivity tools and techniques. Now, with AI completely flipping the script on how we capture, organize, and share knowledge, I feel like I've landed VIP tickets to the greatest show in tech history!
More importantly, I find myself surrounded by some of the most inspiring colleagues who, apart from being exceptional at what they do, are also remarkable human beings. The exchange of ideas, learning, and camaraderie within this team is unlike anything I've experienced at any other company.
Javier Parra
Engineer
Originally from Mexico City, freshly arrived to the Bay Area in 2023. I'm a socially stunted introvert who's only hobby is collecting hobbies… and specialty coffee… and craft beer.
Why I work at Gamma
The tools that most people use to create presentations have remained fundamentally unchanged for decades. I think it's time to reinvent the wheel by focusing on how the problem has evolved over time.
I also love working with a team of such talented and passionate people who are always willing to teach and learn from each other.
Mélissae Elhajj
Designer
Born and raised in Lebanon 🇱🇧, moved to the Bay area in 2017. I always loved art and design and discovered the power of photoshop when I was 12.
In my free time, I design costumes and pretend to be someone else 🧚
Roommate to the cutest cat who likes to take over my desk during meetings 🐈 .

Why I work at Gamma
As a visual designer, I designed way too many slide decks for people. Typical slide tools were not my favorite, and I always wished there was something "more".
*Enters Gamma*, it blew my mind 🤯 as it was solving so many pain points I've faced throughout the years. I'm super excited to help the team shape it into something even more magical
Also, if you met any of my teammates, you'll understand why my heart is in it. Great product, but even greater people.
Julie Barwick
Engineer
Originally from Southern California. Pianist, composer, and general music nerd. 🎹 Loves everyone's pets. 🐱 🐶 🦎
Why I work at Gamma
I've always been obsessed with tools that help you organize your thoughts. Having tried many different presentation tools, I love that Gamma gets out of the way and makes it easy to communicate something effective with minimal effort.
As a former piano teacher, I also really appreciate Gamma's culture of emphasizing learning, teaching, and sharing. I love being part of such a really talented team and getting to build something that I'm excited about!

Short Bio
I grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I lived in Chicago for the past 6 years, before moving back to SF this year.
I'm into camping, backpacking, the outdoors, metal shows, coding, visual arts, and weird stuff like collecting pocket knives and reading about UFO's.
Why I work at Gamma
I believe in the mission, and the problem we're trying to solve. Making presentations is too painful with slides.
I've also always wanted to go small. I think I have a mindset and a skillset that lends itself to startup life.
Being super impressed by the skills and credentials of the team you're joining is always a great sign too!

Designer
SF based, Honolulu raised barista turned designer
Serial hobbyist, T-Pain enthusiast, and reformed plant killer who can pour mean latte art ☕️🎨
Why I work at Gamma
I started because I've always been fascinated by the ways people communicate ideas — and curious about how to improve them. As a medium, Gamma's malleability makes creation efficient without sacrificing aesthetics.
I've stayed because this job is a ton of fun! I've always been drawn to high energy environments and Gamma is fast paced enough that it's never boring, but flexible enough that craft is a priority.
Gamma took a chance on me in 2021 when I was fresh out of my design bootcamp and I couldn't be luckier to have landed here!
Check out my creations!

Recent Hawaii 🌴 resident, Japanese curry enthusiast and aspiring Pickleball professional.
Why I work at Gamma
Getting to work with a group of close friends in a startup has been a dream of mine since doing it in college. I also fundamentally believe that the idea of a slideshow presentation is due for a modern revamp.
I am excited to continue to pursue my craft as a Software Engineer, with a team of great people and a product I truly believe in.
Travis Beck
Engineer
I'm a parent/nerd doing parent/nerd things in and around San Francisco. Former Seattle, New York, and Boston resident.
Why I work at Gamma
How often do you get to explore a space as fundamental and high-touch as documents and presentations? Once I realized that docs and slides are really the same basic format with different page-break semantics I couldn't un-see it. We're building something new that has the potential to profoundly change the way people work. Our team is incredibly talented, well-balanced and super fun to work with and the product we are working on feels like something that the world really needs.
Ali Rizvi
Engineer
Originally from Lucknow, India 🇮🇳In the Bay Area since 2013. Mayor of my local coffee shop (that is what Foursquare tells me).
Why I work at Gamma
I am excited to be at Gamma because I believe we are defining a medium that will allow people to express their ideas effectively with high impact. Also, the team is super nice and fun to work with.
I am stoked about being on the ground floor as we lay the foundation of something that will hopefully (🤞) change the way people express themselves.
Jessica Chong
Engineer
I grew up in 🇭🇰 Hong Kong and 🇨🇦Toronto. Identical twin, dog mom, sewing addict, and 138 wpm typist.
I started making websites in the late 90s and had no idea you could do this for your job!
Why I work at Gamma
I want to empower others to advocate for their ideas. I have a terrible fear of public speaking, but have seen how giving presentations has moved the needle on my career (and life) in a tangible way: by giving me credibility and influence, by making my work visible, and by giving me the opportunity to move people. I want others to experience the life changing magic of presentations!

I'm a recovering product manager who missed getting hands-on and actually building things. I love that we have a culture of constant prototyping and tinkering where everyone can contribute. My favorite feeling is hearing that we've made someone's work day a little brighter 🌞 .

Why I work at Gamma
I love the team that we've gotten together so far because I think we all complement each other quite well, almost like a team of superheroes that all have unique skills, backgrounds, and perspectives. (I also love the Avengers movies 😄)
I'm also super excited about the opportunity to build a new medium in a space that almost everyone is forced to work in but nobody really enjoys.

Born in NYC, raised in the Bay. Dad of two furry kids and a cute dog.
Why I work at Gamma
I've lived in slide decks for most of my career, starting off in the world of investment banking and consulting before transitioning to finance and operations. I'm excited about the opportunity to reimagine this medium from the ground up, and offer users new, powerful ways to share and present their ideas with the world.
Plus I get to work with some of the most incredible people I've ever met. Fun team with big dreams 🧑‍🚀
